  • “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." –Isaiah 43:18-19

We believe God is always up to something new. And God has called us to be catalyst for some of these new things. This will require us to collaborate and partner together in new ways. When we do this we can how we will achieve the Jesus Mission!

If you're a church planter, church, or network who wants to join us, let's connect!

  • The ancient theologian St. Augustine provides helpful advice as we consider theological differences: “In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In everything, love.”

The idea bound up in this statement is that there are essential doctrines that we can unite around. There are non-essential theologies we are free to explore; but in everything we choose love.

This does not mean we compromise doctrine or theological conviction; we just believe our common convictions are stronger than our differences.

  • Nope. We believe too much in the creativity of the Holy Spirit to be prescriptive in church planting. We want to come alongside the dream God has inspired in you with our experiences, our relationships and our resources.

Our ecclesial minimum is Worship, community and mission in the name of Jesus.

  • We don't want to help you plant a church. We want to help you plant movements of churches. We think that planting movements of churches requires you to ask you and your team different questions. We want to help you ask those questions and those answers. A NewThing Leadership Residency is the best way to do this.

  • We believe reproducing happens at the fringe. That’s why we want to remain decentralized and organic. We encourage our networks to plant churches and its our networks that fund church planting. If you're a prospective leadership resident, we do have matching dollars available for qualified applicants.

  • Yes. We welcome anyone who desires to plant a faith community in the name of Jesus.

We recognize that some may differ theologically on this topic. We believe that as long as there is mutual respect we can work together for the Gospel even with differing theological positions.

  • Fair question. The short answer is you are committing to the multiplication of disciples, leaders, and churches. More specifically we ask each participant to commit to our four values; relationship, reproduction, resources, and residences.
